Usain Bolt the reigning World record holder romped to the Gold medal in the men's 100m final with a time of 9.69, a new Olympic and World record
Shelly-Ann Fraser led her Jamaican team-mates Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart in a sweep of the 100m Women final.
This is the first time ever Jamaica has won Gold in the 100 metre sprints.
