Jamaica will be represented at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games by Mr. Errol Kerr who will participate in the Ski Cross event. The Games open on February 12 in Vancouver, Canada and Errol’s event, the Ski Cross, will take place on February 21.
Errol, the son of Mrs Catherine Kerr and the late Mr Errol Manley Kerr, has been skiing since a child (about 6 years old) and qualified for the Olympic Games through his competing in series of Free Style Skiing events organised by the International Ski Federation. His Coach is Mr. Eric Holmer who has vast experience and qualifications in the sport.
Mr. Christian Stokes will be the Chef de Mission for our team and Mr. Richard Salm, President of the Jamaica Ski Federation will be managing Errol’s participation. Unfortunately, our Bobsleigh team did not qualify for these Games as their ranking was just two places outside the qualification requirements.
