Jamaica Men relay team shattered the 4x100m men world record set in Barcelona 1992 with a new time of 37.10. The team of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell , Dwight Thomas(competed in the heats) were victorious in taken Jamaica first gold medal in this event. The women team failed to finish after baton exchange problems in the 2nd handover.
